About Amaya

Amaya’s natural mentoring and coaching style to help promote positive change sparked a lifetime desire to formally qualify as a counsellor and coach at the Australian College of Applied Psychology.

Utilising positive psychology techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and solution focused brief therapies, Amaya combines these modalities with counselling and coaching skills to help people realise their full potential and to help those become “unstuck”.

Amaya has experience in working with drug and / or alcohol addiction, combined with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

As a regular volunteer at Lifeline, Amaya is used to crisis counselling and helping clients reach positive solutions at times of despair or feelings of helplessness.
