About Dr Juliane

Dr Pariz has over 13 years of experience in clinical psychology working with children, adolescents, family therapy and parenting interventions. She is also an academic, teaching and supervising psychology and other allied health professionals. Her research work and interests are child development and psychopathology, parenting interventions, child and adolescent behavioural disorders and externalising behaviour such as ADHD, Conduct Problems, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, and Antisocial behaviour.
Dr Juliane is passionate about helping children and their family members connect to build strong, deep, authentic relationships with themselves and each other. For that, she works with several different approaches to support young people and their families. For example, she is trained in child and adolescent Schema Therapy, CBT, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and family-systems interventions. She is also a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT - https://www.pcit.org/) and has expertise in culturally appropriate Psychology interventions for children and families of neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, vulnerable and indigenous backgrounds across Brazil and Australia.
