Mindfulness meditation is a process of discovering how to accept each moment as it arises, being with ourselves and getting comfortable with what we find. Meditation can be described as the process of ceasing disruptions in the mind. Learning Mindfulness skills helps people address the underlying processes we use to perceive, understand and react to our experience of the world. As we become more mindful in daily life we change the way we approach, think and feel about challenging situations we see new solutions and opportunities.

Yoga Nidra Relaxation & Meditation Course

Relax and lie down for this yoga class.

A body-based relaxation technique to scan through and release stress in the physical body, still the mind and reset the nervous system.  A  restorative yoga practice, that is healing to body mind and spirit, effective for relieving stress, insomnia or general exhaustion.

It is said that just 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra equals 3 hours of deep sleep as it taps into brainwaves to recharge the body and mind. While you rest comfortably in savasana (corpse pose), this relaxation, body scan and  meditation takes you through the pancha maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving you feeling a sense of wholeness.

Experience deep relaxing practice done lying down known as Yogic Sleep a popular practice which rejuvenates the body and mind. Anyone can do yoga nidra, enter a deep state of conscious theta relaxation the stage just before you go to sleep. Follow the guided instructions to relax each part of the body in a specific sequence for effortless relaxation and deep meditation.

Followed by a guided meditation practice. Beginners welcome.

Meditation classes are available at the Lotus Centre in Brookvale . We are close to Dee Why, Manly Vale, Manly, Freshwater, Alambie, Balgowlah, Fairlight and Seaforth area.



Private sessions and group classes led by Heather Greer: Mindfulness-based Psychotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, MBCT, Yoga Teacher. Heather has practised meditation for over thirty years studying with many Buddhist teachers in Australia and the UK. Heather’s teaching is based on traditional Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, Health Psychology and current personal practice. Private Yoga Therapy and meditation consultations available in the Brookvale studio Northern beaches area.
