This delicious soup is full of goodness with broccoli as the main ingredient! Broccoli is rich in folate, vitamin C and a unique antioxidant compound called sulphoraphane. Sulphoraphane assists our body cells to detoxify by giving a helping hand to phase 2 liver detoxification.

Ingredients

2 onions

4 cloves garlic

Pinch of turmeric and cumin

1 litre chicken stock

1 medium potato

500g broccoli florets

400g (can) of white beans (drained)

Method

Saut̩ the onion, garlic and spices in a little oil; add the potato and broccoli (chopped) with the stock and simmer for 15 Р20 minutes. Puree the soup and serve with fresh chilli (great winter warmer) sprinkled on top and toasted sprouted bread with tahini.
